EVENTS:
April 8th, 2023: Equestrian/Mountain Bike Clinic held at Driftwood Ranch, hosted by SDTA/TRVEA. Lead by Cyndi Denny, clinic provided obstacles to challenge horses, then introduced horses to bikes and bikes to horses. Yes, e-Bikes were involved which equestrians got to ride, and SDMBA members got to ride horses. A great event and everyone had fun. May 25, 2019: Equestrian/Mountain Bike Clinic held at River Valley Equestrian Center in Lakeside Lead by trainer Vicki Krauss, equestrians exposed their horses to obstacles like balloons, umbrellas, hikers with backpacks, and mountain bikers. An educational clinic to expose horses to trail obstacles and to other trail users. We will be holding another clinic serving this function. 42 people attended with 25 horses and 8 mountain bikers and two backpackers. A good time was enjoyed by all. April, 2019 - California Trails and Greenway Conference: SDTA held an exhibit booth with co-sponsors: Lakeside Frontier Riders, Backcountry Horsemen-Calif, San Diego Unit, Tijuana River Valley Equestrian Association, Ramona Trails Association, Blossom Valley Trail Alliance, Bonita Valley Horsemen. If you are unfamiliar with the area, this is the road that is on the east side of Mt Carmel High School.
